Join Me on a 30-Day Self-Improvement Journey — Your 30-Day Roadmap to a better you
Starting Monday, 18 November 2023, I’ll be starting a 30-day self-improvement challenge on my Discord server.
After the 21-day self-improvement challenge, many people asked me how I decided what exactly to do, which gave me the idea to start a challenge again, but with everyone involved!
With 2.5k fantastic followers here on Medium, I couldn’t pass up the chance to invite you all to join me.
Here are the rules —
- Consistent Sleep Schedule: Go to sleep on time, wake up on time, and aim for at least 8 hours of sleep each night.
- Daily Exercise: Any form of exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes. It’s your call — whether it’s a jog, workout, or dancing, just get moving!
- Read at Least 15 Pages: Read a minimum of 15 pages daily. If it’s non-fiction, share your learnings on the server. Apply those concepts in your day-to-day life.
- Journal: Track your progress, share your thoughts, or follow prompts. Journaling is a powerful tool for self-reflection.
- Practice a Skill for an Hour: Dedicate an hour to a skill that matters to you, something beyond the urgent tasks — a side project, a personal goal, whatever fuels your passion.
- Additional Daily Task: Each day, there’ll be an extra task that will help you get better. This will be announced on the server every day.
If you’re in and want to be a part of this incredible journey, join the Discord server and sync up with the community. Find the 30-day challenge-🎯 channel to share your progress.
We’ll follow the ‘Don’t break the chain’ concept for this challenge:-
The “Don’t Break the Chain” concept is a productivity technique that involves creating a visual representation of your progress by marking off each day you complete a particular habit or task. The idea is to build a chain of consecutive days.
If you miss a day and the chain breaks, the idea is to learn from the experience rather than feel discouraged. Analyze what led to the break, adjust if necessary, and start a new chain.
See where your highest streak gets to before the challenge ends.
For the First Week:
In the initial week, our focus is on establishing these habits. Spend however much time you need on each task — this week is about making these actions second nature. The real progress unfolds as we build momentum.
Basically, the first 7–10 days are all about your brain registering the fact that these habits are supposed to be done every day.
Make the habit a habit.
Once you’ve made it a habit, then comes the ‘actually-benefitting-from-the habit’ part.
So, are you in? You can start here!
