There are tons of productivity methods and systems on the internet that promise to help get shit done.

But usually, after using a system for 2 days I feel the need to go back and look for more ‘life-changing systems’.

After spending a lot of time experimenting with these different methods, I decided to shorten the list and stop wasting my time looking for systems. Instead, I looked at what I already knew and started implementing these systems in my life.

Here are 6 systems I follow to this date:

1. 3/3/3 method

This is a routine-based method by Oliver Burkeman.

  • 3 hours of focus — Focus on a significant project that will have a huge impact on your life.
  • 3 high urgency tasks — Finish any 3 urgent, but not important tasks like meetings.
  • 3 routine tasks — Give time to 3 tasks that are needed for a well-functioning life (exercising, reading)

I use this method whenever I’m in a rut and need to reset and get back to getting shit done.

2. Seinfeld Strategy

This method was introduced by Jerry Seinfeld (who is actually regarded as one of the “Top 100 Comedians of All–Time”) to make habit formation easier.

It is also called the ‘Don’t break the chain method’:-

  • Get a large wall calendar…
